We are a church dedicated to improving the lives of all people, and especially children. We believe all children are worthy of God's love and we want to show them how important they are. Whether you attend our After School program, Summer Camp, AWANA, or any of our other church-wide events, we are committed to encouraging your children to know and love Jesus Christ.
To create a loving environment for children to learn about the Bible through education, games, and recreational activities.
WHAT WE DO
We provide a safe haven for your children to learn, play, and grow. Whether through our Sunday or Wednesday worship, After School care, or our numerous youth activities, we hope to bring children closer to God.
Our families come from all walks of life. We welcome everyone, no matter where you are in your walk with faith. Our community is not made of race, creed, nationality, or social status. Together, we hope to build a better future for our children.
MEET THE CHILDREN'S DIRECTOR
Hello there! My name is Christy Purvis and I am the Northside - West Campus Children's Ministries Director. My husband Jon and I have been in ministry at Northside since 2010 and married just one year prior. We have four children, Gracelyn (age 7) and Azariah (age 5) and Aria (age 5), and Zion (1 year). My love for children sprung out of being one of five kids in my family and working in Children's Ministry in one capacity or another since my middle school years. My heart is to lead a children's ministry that teaches kids who Jesus is and why He is worth living our life for. My desire outside of the church walls is to equip you with all the tools you may need to build your child's relationship with Jesus. While our church is overjoyed to have your child a few hours a week and is committed to teaching them what is in the Bible while they are in our care, it is you who spend the most time with them and who they will look to for guidance and to lead them in their faith. As a mother, I realize the weight that this responsibility holds. It can be downright scary and overwhelming at times. It is for that very reason that my goal is to support you in this venture in any way I can. Whether it be explaining what your child is learning here at church so you can expand on it at home, giving you resources to use throughout the week, or just being a listening ear, I am here for you. If there is any way I can serve you or your child, please don't hesitate to call, email, or approach me at church!I look forward to getting to know your family better through our weekly time at Northside West.
